Why Does Debt Talk Ltd feel so strongly about Financial Literacy and Social Inclusion? Debt Talk Ltd believes that Financial Literacy used as debt prevention is the way forward. There is a strong correlation between depression and debt, therefore empowering people to make informed choices concerning their finances, whilst enabling them to use the financial services responsibly should bring peace of mind, whilst creating social inclusion.

How is Debt Talk Ltd achieving this? In the spring of 2008 Supported by HSBC Debt Talk Ltd delivered a financial literacy course over a period of several weeks to year 11 students within PSHE (Personal Social and Health Education), adding value to the curriculum. The students now have the added benefit of being able to make informed decisions concerning their banking options and personal money management. With this increased knowlege the students are better equiped to manage their money responsibly in the future.

Resources: Debt Talk Ltd uses The Financial Services Authority, Basic Skills and Niace resources as a bench mark of quality and good practice to ensure an accurate and impartial financial literacy course.
